Anamaria Martinca is an actress from Romania. She won with the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress for The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. French, German English fluently. Her father was an actor as well as her mother was a violinist. At the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors in 2000, she took home the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, she was honoured as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. Aside from her brilliant role in Sex Traffic Anamaria Marinca will be remembered for the role she played in the Romanian filmmaker 4 months 3, Weeks, 2, Days. This film received a number of accolades including being awarded the European Film Award Best Actress from the The London Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 zile (4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days) directed by Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). In addition, she appeared in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim Anwar in the BBC 5-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a guest in her own Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. She later was the role of Irma's German aunt in Fury that was released in 2014.
